Project "Medical Care"

Currently we are traveling irregularly to small rural towns and doing so-called “
Medical Outreaches” where we treat the sick and administer medicines. We also
travel to schools where we test children for HIV which is transmitted to the child form
the mother whilst breastfeeding. If we can diagnose the virus in children their chance
of responding to treatment is far greater and far more successful than with adults,
thereby adding quality of life to the child.

Health Center

We are planning the building of a health center at Perazim. There is a health center
in Pakwach, a town 10 km away. This health center is run by the government, and
unfortunately it’s under stocked and mismanaged that many times a syringe is not
available for basic treatments. Another problem is that the staff steal the medical
supplies and resources to sell privately. Doctors are also huge demand, only recently
was a doctor appointed who is only there for part of the time. The next hospital is
120km away in the city of Gulu.

We believe with the building of a health center, which later can develop into a hospital,
we will lay a foundation in our region for Medical Care.

Vision

"Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world."
(Jak. 1:27)

Our current project

With your help, the kitchen and the dormitories could be completed. Thank you so much to everyone who was there for us!

A simple community school is currently needed. Not all children in the surrounding villages can attend our school because the distances are too great and the paths too dangerous. Again and again you can encounter elephants, buffalos or other animals that cross to the Nile to drink water. For this reason we decided to build a primary school with four classrooms in one of the villages so that all children can go to school.

Such a building with four classrooms costs about 12,000 euros. A lot of thanks to a generous donation from Denmark, we were able to credit 3,500 euros. So we are only missing 8,500 euros.

A big thank you to everyone who makes this project possible. You can donate directly here.
